Structure of the bacteriophage, PM2 with the surface proteins coloured to highlight the symmetry of the structure. PM2 infects the marine bacteria of Pseudoalteromonus species and in the regions of the sea where it occurs, it can be at concentrations of 100 million virus particles per ml.
